On Monday 19th September I was invited to London for the official launch of 'You Can't Scare A Princess!' The publishers, Scholastic, chose this date as it was national Speak Like A Pirate day and my new book has pirates in it.
I had the most wonderful time. I met up with Sarah McIntyre again who introduced me to the lovely author, Philip Reeve. Then I finally got to meet the super people at Scholastic. I've only ever sent emails to them before or spoken on the phone. They had organised a great party with a choice of pirate hats or tiaras to wear. The evening went so quick and no one wanted it to end. We were told that the first Princess Spaghetti book (You Can't Eat A Princess) sold over 30,000 and the second one had sold over 10,000 within the first 3 weeks! Looks like Princess Spaghetti is ready for World domination!
